Project Portfolio
Key highlights from self-employed and employed projects before 2023
During 2014 - 2020, I combined photography and coaching in various photovoice projects. Previous 1:1 sessions can be viewed at the Coach with the Camera archive.
In 2008, I founded The Photo School in London teaching an innovative programme of practical photography workshops for two years. I then met Graham Barker of Walk East in 2010 and together we created 15 funded photo walk courses in Tower Hamlets, East London over a 5 year collaboration which included mentoring other photographers.
I've been making photos since 2006, mostly self taught and learning on photography retreats and adventures across the world. I have three personal portfolios showcasing flowers, getting into nature, UK and NZ travel, a personal exhibition and images from 2016-2023 and 2024+.
I've also volunteered for many years as a photographer for various organisations: SGINZ, THCP and CNY. I've also photographed pro bono at many events which have included workplace portraits, conferences, yoga sessions, mindfulness courses, and community trainings.
I've had various employed jobs over the years to complement my own work. It has taken me many years to realise I am better suited to shorter term contracts or 'careering' than a traditional approach to a career. Makes creative sense now to have a studio!
